Welcome
to Our Site

Jingi -  Water Wommin where we carry on the deep-rooted traditions of our Indigenous family. We have been gathering and hunting for generations, taking pride in our relationship with the land and water that sustains us.

Our love for fishing, pipping, oystering, sea worming, pigfaces, and other foods the land offers has allowed us to maintain a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. We are excited to share our passion with you.

EDUCATORS

We as First Nations people acknowledge our ancestors/elders as educators. Their knowledge and values for teaching the younger generation should be accepted and acknowledged within our diversity of teaching.

It is important that our jarjums have fun, be excited, be spontaneous, hands on, challenging, be comfortable and relaxing. As these combinations will bring wonder and curiosity and be fulfilling to the mind. Nurturing the young inquisitive minds of our jarjums will encourage them to become engaged in a whole new way of learning.

This learning style will naturally bring curiosity and the desire for knowledge and establish a strong sense of belonging within themselves, as we will develop a strong respectful relationship within the community.
